Hi Scubasteve.

Did you use ref. It didn't look like it.
I kinda ruined the image quality, but the image intrigued me, and I had to give it a go.

I thought the image could use a moore gloomy atmoshpere, so I blurred it all up a bit, and made the light less intense. Sharks open their mouths by tiliting the jaw downwards and not the head upwards, so often you can't see the teeth in their upper jaw. Unless they bite. And they have spooky black eyes. like glass beads.

Hey Steve! I just registered and your post is the first one that came up.

Just a couple of thoughts about this pic. If you allow the light from the flashlights and the diffused light from above to reveal more details and keep the rest hidden in the water, I think you'd have a really strong piece.

Hey Sukhoi, I like your version alot! Your right in saying I didn't use a reference, In hindsight I really think it would have turned out better if I had. The adjustments youve made to atmosphere and to the shark definatly make it more realistic. I may have to rework this one keeping them in mind.

Hey Nick! This board doesnt seem to have as much activity as conceptart, but its seems a good venu for artist notheless. You mean using less ambient lighting and using the lightsources more correct?
