Yep. Path-tool isn't the best tool to make a portrait. I would've wanted to see more colors, looks a bit lifeless.

path tool seems like an inefficient way to accomplish this look. you can get an identical look by using full opacity brushstrokes and erasing back at full opacity leaving those very flat graphic fields that you are wanting - and it would go a lot faster and probably result in some very interesting looking shapes that you don't necessarily plan - just a productivity thing not so much an aesthetic crit.

"path tool portrait"? You mean a vector? I think you accomplished that pretty nicely. I would like to see a trendy vector backround in that maybe refine details and colors.
