just finished my last exam a few days ago so i thought i would play around w/ photoshop a bit more...
only done a few pics so far ... ne ways learnt a lot of stuff from doing this one:
anyways still got a bit of touch up to do before im finished,
c&c would be good  thanks

update:
beads look weird around his neck still... probably gonna make them bigger (like the reference i used on the right) ... but didnt ahve time ..and im kinda tired...
what else ...? think i should add a beard? added it and it didnt look that great so i dropped it ....
wasnt gonna include the panels or wahtever u call them around his waste/belt but i thought it made him look more japanese-samerai-ish ...
anyways what do u think?

I like your character too and I like the stance. I think you could make it even better by adding some highlights and some deeper shadows. The muscles in the legs could also use a little more definition.
