Weekly Drawing - Week 18
The rules of weekly drawing:
*all mediums accepted
*concepts and speed sketches are allowed
*everyone is allowed to post how many times they want
*Weekly Drawing will only last for a week after which there will be a new topic
I will start a discussion thread over in the digital art discussion too so feel free to give me some pointers about this thread there and also, maybe we can come up with topics in there if you guys have any special ideas.
This weeks topic is - Create The composition
Create a composition with primitives can be a good way to do something differently and not depending on lines so this weeks weekly drawing is all about that.
I have attached three primitives in here and the idea goes:
*Create a composition with these three primitives and when u have one you are satisfied with u start to paint over it, let your imagination flow. U can duplicate all the primitives in the composition to build your picture as long all of them have been used once. Transforming the objects sizewise is also allowed as long as the basic shape is still there.
Also, I would like to see the finished picture along with the original composition setting with the three primitives.*
Create The Composition
Heres the primitives along with my composition setting so you guys can see how it works.
have fun everyone and I hope u like the idea this week.
thx again for last week, it was fun.
Matthew

holy crud that is awesome drunken_muse!!
I went with more of a landscape idea like matthew
45 min. I had to stop to leave for work...
Oh well, at first I was going to do mountains, but the triangles totally made me think pyramids. Also I was going to add a palm tree on the right, but I'm from Canada so since they don't really exist naturally here...
Lets see some more peoples!
I think that this week was a great idea Matthew. _________________

cool stuff guys, also try and think about leading our eyes to an images focal point through composition. _________________ Design portfolio |
