Check out the trailer link. Rather compelling! CGI and VFX on the level of the "almighty" Star Wars prequels appears to be finally reachable to the masses. With this and "Immortel", Hollywood might finally figure out that they're going to have to kick things up a notch. |

hey thx for posting this one aswell seems like a really cool movie. I was wondering, is movies like this up on the cinema in the states? cause I doubt they will show movies like these in Sweden, I guess an import is a necessesity if one wanna see this movie.

Casshern is based on Casshan Robot Hunter, the old Tatsunoko anime from the 70's; not that you could tell from that site. This version is shaping up to be one of the most expensive Japanese films ever produced, so there's a very high probibility that will have a limited US theatrical release as well as a DVD.

The first thing that came to mind when I watched the trailer some time ago was "Japanese Star Wars".
edit: forgot to mention that I mean it in an Episode 1 way. |
