Hi Sijuners,
don't know if this is in the right place here. This is a lithograph I've made some 2 months ago. The original is black and white; I scanned the image and created a background in painter to simulate old paper, then added some highlights. That's it, so not much work done on this in Painter (don't shoot me ) But I liked the atmosphere of this, so I posted it. C&C are welcome of course.

This is very nice. I can feel the forest, although it's very fade. Only one thing bothers me though, it's that black line in top right (branch?) that is too strong and keeps the viewer from focusing on the subject. I wouldve erased it completely to give strong perspective to the tree. _________________ O que tu sois, ferme tes yeux et respire bien, tu sentira le parfum enivrant des cdres de mon pays le Liban. |

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad you like it.
Christian, now that you mentioned it, I do think I've drawn that brench too horizontal and it should be a bit lighter right where it is attached to the tree. I didn't want to erase it completely though, bacause I think it actually helps the composition.
Well, it doesn't bother me that much, so I guess I'll leave it like this for now.
Thanks again for the comments ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Don't try surpassing others, surpass yourself ... over and over again. |
