Well, i just got a membership at a workout club and this was sort of inspired by all those people i see spending more time flexing in the mirror than they do lifting weights (you know who you are Razz) so this is pretty much just a portrait of myself, though very much enhanced Wink and please, before you call me a deusche bag for this, you gotta know i was laughing the entire time.

and though this is a joke i did learn a lot and i really really would like some crits

i think next i want to recreate some romance novel covers with me in them

oh yeah, i used this image at furiae.com for a reference of the rocks and flowers http://www.furiae.com/gallery/wallpapers/srishti-1024-768.jpg

alright, here is a little update. i lightened it, smoothed the shading a bit, painted the rest of my hair, and added a passage from a grossly sappy poem. lol i know this probably isnt funny and is a little gross since you guys dont know me.... but, well, Razz

Smile yeah, if it wasn't for the text above it saying it is a joke I'd just think it was a really sappy piece of homoerotic art.

ha ha, yeah i forget sometimes that the humor in some of the stuff i do is that no one else would get it. like what would someone think seeing a picture like this of me hanging above my own bed? so i am totally going to print this out and hang it up. and i guess you guys are the other people so its cool if you dont think its funny. but forget the joke, i just need some crits on the picture

Seems to me like your more worried about what others might make you out to be, rather then your art. Its nicely done, I think it needs work on some of the anatomy though.

well, thanks for the crit punq, do you know any specific area that looks awkward or does it just overall not fit together well? and trust me, i am more concerned with the art. i just would rather you not think that i am a concieted jackass... but then i guess i never had to tell you it was me at all Rolling Eyes

First of all it's a really nice piece of homoerotic art (heh). However, if you really want specifik anatomical critiques I would probably point out the hip area in comparison to the shoulderwidth.

His/yours lower body looks a little too small for that upper body: If you bend your leg up towards your head (align it with your upper body) your knee will almost align in height with your shoulder. However, even though perspective is taken into account, his legs look somewhat too small for that act. Even though, they go good together with the rest of his lower body/groin, so my 2 cents would be that his pelvis+legs would need to be a size or two bigger. I think it was mostly the thin waistline that leads into a small pelvis that created the problem in the first place.

I wouldn't rework it on this one, but instead recommend remembering it for your upcoming homoerotic projects. :>
