The last picture from me for a while as I'm going to be offline for the forseeable future as I'm not renewing my DSL connection. So here's something to hang on your wall/dartboard in the meantime.

This is about 4000x3000. There's a detail close-up here.

Onehundredandeeeeeighty!

<cough>

Top bombin' Ceenda. The Jimmeny Cricket on my shoulder keeps telling me to do more portraits. If they turned out anything like this, I'd be happy.

My only problem is the jumper. Lose it, or better yet, burn it! It's awful. Twisted Evil

Don't be gone long.

LOL Laughing

Oh well, you'll be happy to see the closet go up a treat as it's loaded with 100 variations on the turtle-neck theme. It's almost my 'uniform'. Thank goodness it's summer coming up.

I shall await the pudding portrait with bated breath. Razz

Ceenda, are you going to be reachable in any way. I hope you dont go away for too long.

This is a great portrait. I downloaded it from another thread. It is so simple and solid. A rather smooth Wyeth like feeling, I cant explain it any easier than that.

I hope everything works out and you end up online again soon.

Take care and good luck with the art, career, life, etc.

Ron

Thanks guys, I just realised that the pic is actually a bit 'wide' horizontally. Must've been staring at it too long. I'm a wee bit slimmer than that. Very Happy (but not much... *burp*)

fredflickstone: I'll be able to access my email at work, I'm just not supposed to browse the web from there or I get a slapped wrist... (and possibly a last pay check). Glad you like it, I sometimes worry I spend too much time going for that 'porcelaine' effect and not enough time putting in bold attractive brushstrokes ala Sargent. Should be back online soon and will op by when I can to learn more from Ron the modern master. Wink

Mon: Cheers! Yes, I am planning to do lots and lots of painting because I won't be spending time trying to be witty and debonaire on forums and IRC. Laughing

I just love the way the essentially flat areas of (colour) light seem to be so eloquent in describing the solid of you head. Looks simply wonderful! hard to imagine how it even works, let alone how it's achieved!

a supremely nice portrait. I like the jumper and the bg and the everything.
