This is basically a recreation of another painting/part of it, only I
ended up making her a little thinner and more modern looking.
(This wasn't really my intention, I figure my subconscious is to
blame..) The original can be found here:
http://www-lnc.usc.edu/~brannon/pix/barnhard-gutmann-Gutmann_Study-of-Woman-in-Black.jpg
[EDIT: IMPORTANT NOTE: I may have been unclear in pointing out the
original painting IS NOT MINE. It's by an artist named Bernhard Gutmann,
this is merely a study of his work. Sorry for any misunderstandings.]
I ended up rushing it when finishing it up, so some of the texture
and colours are lacking (I noticed). I might tweak it later.
It's actually made in paintchat.

Muse,
this took my breath away. It is so beautiful: it made me wonder what her story is. I've concocted about a hundred already! One to linger in the mind for a long time.
I much prefer this cropped version.

tiger1313> Thanks Matt, told you I would be painting more.. would be bad
of me to back out on my words. :) need to practice you know.
Thanks Matt, Xia, Pud'! I think however that all lighting cred goes out to
Bernhard (which he would most likely appreciate, had he still been alive,
fortunately enough he's not around to hear the crop comment). |

good stuff.. i like it when a piece of art inspires me to create something similar (out of respect)
good lighting.. love the added texture/painterly feel to it..
