Anyone know good tutorials or examples of painted fire? Not like a candle, but more like an inferno. In the illustration I'm working on I have basically a river of fire and lava. Its just lacking something, it looks too much like flame colored textures with some smoother tongues superimposed on top, they're not interacting if you know what I mean. Smile

I'd have to see it to say more, but in general I'd say you need to pay attention to the dark areas in lava and fire, and not focus just on the light areas.
