That, sir, is some dope shizfizzle. Nice crepuscular rays, and it's a technical achievement in itself to have created a beautiful woman that doesn't look like anyone familiar.
My only grief (a minor one) comes with how you rendered the sand dunes. I would done away with the waving ripples entirely and just used the hard-edged dunes you have underlying them. _________________ QED, sort of. |

Awesome work Cicinimo. Dune rules.
Only thing that comes to mind is that Chani looks a bit "water fat" to be Fremen. Also, it's hard to see, but there might be a little bit of blue in those eyes? Haha, spot the Dune nerd!
I really like the overall feel of the piece, very atmospheric. |

Impaler: What are crepuscular rays?. Yeah, I dont think the nini dunes on the dunes were very effective. Thanks for the feedback!
Capt. Fred: Thanks again!
Ceenda: Heheh, water fat. Thankyou _________________ artpad.org |

I'll second that. Great site too. Loads of variety and invention. Keep it up.
Could this be the beginning of a Dune thread? I know myself, ceenda and the Hawaiian have done Dune pictures.

Crepuscular rays are those golden rays of sunlight you have filtering through the atmosphere from behind the clouds. _________________ QED, sort of. |

XIA: thanks xia!
Capt.FlushGarden: coming from you, that means a whole lot to me. I admire you and your work hugely.
Pudding: If you guys would like to post your dune pieces, it wouldn't offend me in the slightest. I'll change the thread title in a sec.
Max: thanks Max, I appreciate it
Mikko K: aw shucks
Impaler: ahh, okay. In that case, I think crespuscular rays are awesome.
Malachi: haha, thanks!
wasssup: Yeah, you're right. Then again, you're always right _________________ artpad.org |

Woah Dune!!! Awesome Chani (except that I'll have to vouch that the eyes should kinda be a raidant blue).
What about the water rings/hoops? It's been quite a while since I read Dune, so I can't recall where they wore them (waist or neck?). As well just that little bit about the sand - I always imagined it to be more red, but that might be because I've been corrupted by the cover on my ed. of the novel...
Geez, now I wanna draw some Dune stuff too
Keep up the inspiring work Cicinimo! _________________ |

I'm always up for painting dust and rocks
Dune was the story that inspired me to start creating fictional worlds as a pastime. here's a quick one, about 45 mintes' work.
inspiration lasted longer than expected, here's another one

Took the words right out of my mouth.
This is a quick and sketchy concept that never really got into "finished" status:
Though I'll try and do something new for this.

Not sure if I'm doing this right...
I like the picture you'w got a nice colour tone in it...
Only thing that looks a little wierd is that it looks like a photo on the upper half (the sky) and a painting in the lower part of the picture (the woman).
I like the light on the characters forhead:D
