Here's something I've been working on between speedies. The setting is the Great Patriotic War, as the Soviets called the war of the Eastern Front. It was inspired by the moving testimony of German and Russian soldiers and civilians in the BBC documentary series War of the Century, and the books of Anthony Beevor.
If you like it, and want to see a tutorial on it's creation, let me know.

Howdy fellas,
thanks for the comments.
wassup: I guess the foreground is a bit monochromatic. I was going for a sombre palette, but I agree, it is inappropriate in the foreground.
Ogre: thanks!
Matthew: er, I haven't actually written the tutorial just yet. Can it wait a couple of days?
See y'all on Cicinimo's Dune thread.
