NIce! The shoulders above part of image is especially nice, and definitely reminds me of bengal. Love the hat too, the head, etc.
I a way it is a slight shame that the other parts of the image are rendered so differently, since the the other style is far preferable, to me.
Good job man. |

Randis' childhood dreams, am i right ?
Nice work, 'bout the mood i agree it's "strong".
Only one point bother me (after a while watching the pic) his eyes are not symmetrical in the face somehow. Ok, it's the fast 2-H-Version, and for this one it's perfect. ![Wink](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

i like the expression on his face, and the sword and bag and how he wears his clothes adds to it. |

Nice indeed, the only thing that bothers me a bit is the shading on his right hand. |

Nice picture Randis, (kind of selfportrait? )
I really like it ,
not many things to criticize but here I go,
I think the main problem is his right arm,
when I watch his elbow I don't have the feeling that his forearm is going towards us... same problem on his right wrist
I also think his left hand shouldn't be that blurry
maybe it was done on purpose, the sword doesn't seem to be very "straight" (not sure on my english for this word sorry the perspective seems a bit off..
and last one (not really important : is it normal that it isn't the same side of the shirt that is on the button ?
very good work on the head and the hat

Hi Randis, i love his expression a lot, very perky! but i think see has his point, me too thinks the perspective is a little bit off, the eye level of the boy and background seem not being on the same level. its the only crit.
i like how you stylized the lighting, cold bounce light from an orange shirt, interesting. yeah capt.fred! kinda reminds me of bengals work, that guys got amazing control on lighting too.
heres my cheeeeeesy version, i really like yours a lot better.

Thanks guys, C&C is welcome.
You are right, some things are weird, let me explain.
First of all i did force the perspectives the way i needet them, i think i can do it sometimes, in fact i just wanted some BG instead of a plain blue sky, however no one can see the way he is standing so well... it does not matter much.
The Proportions are off, i see but it supposed to have more comic like feeling. The hands are a bit small but i think it is not disturbing.
Also there is wind, his cloths are moved by wind so the outline of his shirt is not the outline of his body. I did not have time for translucency effects so, well. As i said this was a quickie and i shall put more effort and time in it the next time.
Very cool wassup, nice version, however to realistic. I think the colours are great and the BG is very vine but it is a different mood and you hit a totally different perspective. His shoulders are hanging but i like his left arm better then mine, the position is more relaxed. The right arm is to stiff, it looks like it could me in motion, like he just mashed the sword on the ground or something. But hey, you should give C&C not me.
