This picture was created as part of my portfolio for scholarship application at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, where I have already been accepted. There is a short story that goes with it. A sample, just for kicks:

"Some insect wound indistinctly about a sky bathed pink, buttered sun melting vast and golden to a liquid dawn. Hurrying about some impulse-wrought errand that fluctuated to renew itself with every cycle of the wings, the black dot interrupted air which seemed bloated with heat, air weighing a weightless mass upon all its sight. Hurrying so strenuously for absent-minded laps� Swallowing great gulps of sky as though the melting of the sun was final, an irreversible decay promising no future suns, light turning liquid and evaporating from an orphaned horizon�"

I like the mood you have going there and the little creature's expression. Is that a wilted flower it is holding? I'd love to see the image with less visible lines and more of those richly rendered colors (like you have in the clouds at the very top).
