Hey everyone, you may have seen this at the Eatpoo works in progress forum. If not, a little explanation.

We were assigned to do a video game box in one of our school classes. I had initially wanted to do Earthbound, but my cartoon skills are severely lacking. So, I decided to do Legacy of The Wizard, an old NES game that I have very fond memories of.

The screens in the back are of the original game (obviously)...Our teacher knows nothing about video games and couldn't care whether or not it was relevant to the game or not. So yea, pretend they re-released it on Gamecube

For the record. The background is an overpainted photo (Bleh), and there's a little use of photo-texture overlays on the text and around (My photos).

It's not the most exciting cover, I know...I'm gonna try and stop exercising my right to make pieces based on bland and generic topics. Blah.

I have to hand it in next week, so by all means, if you have any crits at all, I'll have all weekend to address problems before submitting.

Thanks for looking.

-JD

One thing that I absoultely hate is when the front cover box art continues onto the spine, but your spine looks nice.

It looks like a classic nintendo cover without being ugly, which is good Smile

good job!

Yeah, that's a nice design.

Some crits:

. Personally I'd make his mouth a little wider and more expressive.
. I'd give more form and shape to the left shoulder using the blue lighting - it feels a little unbalanced with the right side to me.
. The face on the back of the box doesn't quite work for me. Couldn't say why though.

Looks good, only flaw is its missing the stuff about how many players, and the memory card crap they usually put on the back of the box. Those little icon things.
