I don't know if "dedication" is the right word for that in English but I've done this B&W drawing for a nice guy, for the release of my Spawn Simony french comics TPB :
And then I worked again on the scann of the sketch (the character is really static but I've tried to do something with it quickly)
And here's another recent cover for a RPG book :

well, the spawn is maybe a little static, but i sort of like him in 'repose' like that for a change, instead of always jumping around

Aleksi,
these are great. I visited your site, and was impressed overall, but especially by the composition and energy of the dust sheets. Spawn72cover was the best in my view.
My only criticism is I feel your shadowed areas are too dark. Obviously, there is a place for pure black, and Spawn is defined by its darkness, but I find it hard to focus on the rest of the picture when there is an expanse of pure black competing with it.
Perhaps if I wasn't viewing your work on a piece of shit monitor...
PS: I'd love to see some of your Wizards of the Coast work.
keep posting!

Totally awesome, been visiting your site for a while now.
1 thing, the girl on the front of the C.O.P.S. cover kinda looks like she's half smiling , might be just me |

Forget my 'shadowed areas are too dark' observation. I've just seen it on my monitor at work, and they work a treat.

Thanks for the support
Summer Pudding : I often ask myself if my own monitor is well calibrate... I've got often surprises with my printed stuff, just because it's not always the same printer (I work for several different clients).
Always a huge problem...but glad it looks good on your other monitor
I'll post my Magic stuff when the cards will be available... |
