Okay so I'm trying my hand at drawing. I just recently bought a wacom (Graphire 4x5) and when I draw a circle it is made out of a bunch of choppy lines. I'm using PS 6.0. I have the stylus settings on for size but not on fade or opacity. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bug or do I have my settings mixed up? I would appreciate any help. Oh yeah, painter works fine, smooth lines and circles.

hmm, i get that when i move the pen too fast, i think it's a hardware issue - I think it's the computer not being able to calculate the speed of information coming in form the pen. Not sure on that one, could just be something with photoshop |

Its not the wacom, its photoshop, get corel painter 8 and your circles come out perfectly. |

I asked Adobe about this issue some time ago. It turns out that Photoshop 7 and below draws out choppy lines if you have relatively little RAM available. I think 768+ mb makes perfectly round lines in all versions of Photoshop. Either way, Photoshop CS solves this problem, but in turn, the rendering process for the brush strokes is overall a lot slower. |
