last page was pure magic, nice work everyone.

wasssup, your latest stuff is pure magic and I really like your site there. Smile

pierre, dina bilder ger totalt. Smile

its always better to change the image without pulling the color balance, that way you have more control. Not sure if it turned out better though.

And my attempt at dynamic.

dhood, very nice.

I started to experiment with neon colors last week in my oil-paintings, I like it my but teacher dont, hehe. Some of the teachers are very abstract.

ok time to go to the store

Spooge,

I've got some long winded feedback for you. I hope you'll find it useful, and not presumptuous or arrogant of me to give it.

I'm a big fan of your work. Not in the standard fanboy "OMG that image ROXXORS!!!" kind of way. I'm more interested in where your headed with this than where you are now. You seem to be headed somewhere. For someone so far ahead of us on the learning curve, your pace of development continues to astound me. Youre always testing your own limits, not sitting on your ass. For that I salute you.

This last image represents a sort of watershed in my eyes. To me, it is totally incoherent. You've finally broken the coherency barrier. You've completed your destructive testing of depiction. I have a hunch that this will be good news to you, because I have a feeling that this is a limit you've been deliberately looking for.

I remember that in the "fireblade ad" thread, I asked you why you spent so much time and effort developing skills that unsophisticated clients and auciences might not notice or value. Your response was that you felt it worth the effort to make yourself a better and more versatile communicator. However, this last year at Sijun has shown the exact opposite - instead of learning how to adapt to your audience, you've been training your audience (here at Sijun) to adapt to you. We're now trained to look underneath the "spoogieness" and see the picture underneath. Each picture, you get closer and closer to a limit. How deep can you bury the picture under noise? How loose? How dirty? Every time you turn up the "dirty knob" we turn up our "what the heck is that?" knob.

Since you get vewry little useful feedback here other than the usual "drool!" and "WOW" and 'bowing smilies', it seems that your only option is to test your pictures to destruction. How far can you go before you finally get a "Spooge, don't know how to tell you this, but that last one sucks".

In short, is it possible that the picture is a reject because your client hadn't been trained in Spooge viewing?

Was this a deliberate process for you? Was it a useful process for you? I'm genuinely curious. I can tell you, that it was a useful process for me to watch, and I learned a lot. You've been generous here at Sijun - you've shared a lot with us. I thought for once you deserved some sincere feedback in return for your many kindnesses. I hope I do not offend.

Cheers,
YV

Flushgarden, glad you like it. I wish I knew what it is. Just a doodle, but you are right about the turtle. Guess it's some kind of rock in the foreground...

Max, swarm, hpx, kengi elliot, pierre spooge, wasssup... too many too mention
Yverloc, you got some nice thought there.

The grey sky was replaced by a blue today for the first time in months...
Got a bit inspired,

This is a memory pic from when me and my friend opened up the hangar doors to roll out our trainer with our instructor, there's something special about planes in their hangars...
