i have been doing an alternate cover for a new serie from image comics, don't ask me which one i don't know anything about it, except that it's a story with robots, from scenarist ivan brandon.
anyway, here is the picture... i hope it will be accepted. :)

great color! I must admit that I was also confused about the "ribbons"... perhaps some gradation within those specific pieces of hair would do the trick? because as it is right now, sections of hair are either the dark color or the light color... only that piece inside her elbow contains both, but I guess it's not enough. a presence of both dark and light hair colors within the "ribbons" would go a long way 
on a side note... can i have her boobs?

here is the final piece : i had forgotten then tu add some robot parts, and it was tusper important!!! i added them now ; i contrasted a little more, lowered the outline of the left breast and colored the rug top right as rose as on the left of the pic.
it's the chosen version :

I dig your sense of those beautiful pastel colors; and a wise choice to use such red tones for the robot-parts(doesn't stick out that much as black lines would do). But i liked the softer contrast in the first one more. Ah, still great, and those great violett-shaded roses ...

then i was at the site, and i guess there are like three sites together or something but one of them i was reading said she was a girl but i guess that was under ness's site not bengals thought they were the same person,
so i came back here and edited my post to say her instead of him... lol im an idiot...  oh well

i can't beleive how no one mentioned the impressing viewer's angle.
This twisted birds-eye view creates a perspective which i think, IMHO, is the key to its success. Plus the colors are so well combined.
