Hey there,
I was after some help and pointers with this piece that I am doing. I have the basics down but adding more detail into the foreground and background I am finding a challenge. The eyes are rather just blobs of black at the minute
If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them
Thanks

Good start. Love the setting.
Some things I noticed.
The green light source produces a white highlight n your image.
The sholders are very broad.
Her right arm looks too simple/straight IMO.
The second light source could be directly in front of her (pants) or from the side (face).
The value range for the pants is very big but light and shadow isn't separated.
Hope my overpaint shows what I mean ... !?

Andy has some good stuff in his overpaint.
And Give yourself some credit Andy, you are a good artist.
So, as per a top to bottom inspection of your image.......
Please figure out where the light is coming from, cause the highlihgts on her thigh and the glow behind here are a little distracting, and aren't reflected upon the body(meaning the glow). HEr eyes are a bit big and too widely spaced. The nose should be bigger, and the jawline starts at the middle of the mouth, and the chin is way too pointed. The neck is a little thin too. I really don't mind her shoulders, they're about the right size and everything, it's just below it that is affecting the look of the rest. The breasts should be positioned a bit lower, and you should give her more of an area for her ribs to sit. Open up her torso a little more. I like the indication of the hip on the right side of the picture. However, her crotch is a little high. Basicially it should be the height of the white stripe above it lower than it's current position.
Anyway, that little bit when put together should totally fix up the figure. However you may need a bit more time to work on the light. If I get time I might do a paint-over for you. |
