I feel ashamed not to post a pic, although I have to say the caliber of some of the people here is great and everyone is dumping their stuff, it's a nice little community that I really enjoy.
I wanted to tell this to Spooge, although I'm sure he knows, but I'll say it anyway : ID is really great. I love everything about it. Like you said, the first semester is like bootcamp, they say, "Do tech drawings and draw a perspective." but not tell us HOW TO do them.  First, draw, give penalty grades for badly done stuff. After, show how and encourage. A really pissing off approach, although once you go through and look back, the best method. I'm really enjoying every second and learning the fundamentals of color, perspective, 3D geometry in space, cast shadows, materials, etc, rules. Up to now teachers really love handmade stuff, and don't really enjoy when students do projects all with the computar. I've done alot of fast pen/marker sketching I could post here, although I now live at the school dorm and don't have a scanner. I could scan stuff at school, don't feel like it. Plus it's kinda crappy. Oh well. |
