elliot > wicked stuff.

I just wanted to see something colourful, thus the complete lack of design.. and err, overall thought.

why a product major should not try to draw cars. (Indside AC joke)

Flushy, close down that lens a little, use section lines, some poor bastard has to model that you know. What make it tougher is a car is part matte, part reflective, so it gets confusing if you don't understand both qualities well. Also, car forms are a little like the figure. The viewer is so accustomed to seeing those volumes that the drawing has to be Good. Nobody knows what and orc looks like. So figure out the forms first, then light it with matte finish, then maybe make it shiny. Or do it all at once after doing it several thousand times. (You are comparing yourself to car designers drawings, and they have done probably hundreds of thousands of them)

Zhuzhu, I think it looks better...

idian, nice girl...

zhuzhu, that one looks great, not like shit!! but maybe your shit looks also great, don't know... Wink

spooge: very cool as always, but the right wheel takes away much of this "straight-forward"-carfeeling... maybe the first one, too. IMHO. didn't you say that ellipses have to be perfect, even in speedpaintings? ( serious question)

elliot: great pic! made me stop scrolling for quite a long while... Smile

I'd love to take credit for the bikini cowgirl idea but there's a thread at the Drawing Board.

Not good enough for that thread ... but speedy.

Lol, spooge I'm sorry, couldn't even get the aluminium thingies right

I like to compare myself with the "best", you should aim for the stars, because you will most likelly only hit the tree tops!

I tried to DRAW the car and then paint it, maybe I closed the lens too much, and lets not talk about the surface haha...

I totally dig how you get those lighter parts of metal, looks like a plane or speedrecord-car just out of factory that hasn't been painted yet, groovey!

MC Barrett, that looks very nice!
