Now, ahem, well I've been browsing, and trying to learn from the great people here for a while now, and a close friend of mine and myself are going to be exchanging, and studying on our own to work on college level areas of art. The problem is, it will work best if we have the same materials (books). However, I'm unsure as to which books would be the best suited for a specific task. I know a reasonable amount of info about backgrounds, and am learning color theory, and she is quite capable with anatomy - far more then I am. What books would you recommend that may focus on things such as anatomy, color theory, painting, perspective, etc? Obviously not beginner books, but things that cover them in full, or in detail enough that they can be used as a stephold to learn them properly.
Books I already currently have : (all anatomical)
Burne Hogarth : Dynamic Anatomy (rev)
Bridgeman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life
Jeno Barcsay : Anatomy for the Artist
Thanks for takin' the time to read this, and I'd be much obliged for any assistance. |

Glen Vilppu's Drawing Manual is by far the most valuable book I own. |
