I Still cant figure out how to post images. But i have a bigger proablem... i can draw and shade fine.. but how do i blend and shade using color with a wacom... i wanna make an image look realisitic.. but i can always see strokes.. i mnot sure if theres a blur effect or blue or smudge tool i should be using... if you could give me a quick tutorial on how to lose strokes.. and make colors blend into each other or just give me a few tips it would be really much appreciated.

Well, there are many ways to get soft blends. First set a your basic groundcolors with 100% opacity. Than you should use a soft brush with little opacity and pick up the "between-colors" again and again. The more strokes you use, the less you'll see them
Damn, my english is too bad for this, perhaps a picture will help...

Actually I prefer to fill in the midtone. Then I take the shadows and fill them in with a fuzzy brush with 20% opacity. If you don''tcshoose too dark a color to start with you can do just strokes with even the hard brush and it will still smooth out fairly well. Even if it doesn't it gives it a nice feel. Repeat with highlights.
Then again you can cell shade and use the smudge tool. There are other techniques too, but find one that works for you. _________________ It has been clinically proven that other people's pain IS funny. |

a soft brush is always good, u can also use a hard brush at a very low opacity to get a smooth (and more gritty/realistic IMHO) blend with colors. But it also depends on what ur shading. Different surfaces call for different techniques _________________ -Chase |
