Good game! I though when Canada took that penalty with 5 min to go they were in trouble. Nope, pulled out nicely. |

Doh, I should've kept my big mouth closed. We'd get handled in basketball.
Our team would be Steve Nash and a bunch of beavers. :P |

americans care about being at the top, rulers of the world, dictators of freedom, champions of evil, allies of good, the war on drugs, war on terrorism, war on liberty, war on democracy, war on you, war on me...
war for everybody and no one is free!

social drone - extremely true. Did you deliberately make that rhyme?
Dr. Squirley - yeah, he was pretty good (high praise coming from me). |

Damn, my fav teams were russia, but that's because I prefer the european style hockey -rather than the tired dump and chase physical style that canada and us has perfected.. but the best team won - you can't argue with that.. I still can't believe how the swedes lost it.. incredible -which leads me to the most impressive team belarus - all credit to them for a fantastic olympic! |

Yeh, i didn't expect that from Belarus. Even Russians had hard time beating them.
Would be really cool if they got gold |

I couldnt believe my eyes. We put the best team ever on ice - they play like gods for three games (disintegrates Canadians, outplays Chechs, walks over Germans). And then? Plays so bad that they got entire Sweden ashamed for a decade. And loses to ... Belarus? I seriously doubt that Belarus would qualify to Elitserien (Swedens national league). Great header by Salo is just a great picture of how bad that game was played.
I still fail to comprehend. |

Sweden has nothing to be ashamed of.. Anybody can have a bad day, and some times a whole team can also fall apart..
- I see quite a lot of swedish television (danish sports-tv generally sucks bt - and they hardly show any hockey games) and I can't believe how hard the swedish people are on their team.. Sure they had a bad day and a bad game, but a decade of shame is way overboard.. lighten up - it's just a game!
***WARNING***: Rant about danish hockey coming up..
I'm dreaming of seeing a danish team in the olympics - or even danish players in the nhl, but that will never happen until danish television supports hockey.. It's the second biggest indoor sports in Denmark, but they've only recently showed a few games on television.. all the air is devoted to handball (yawn) - and guess what - the guy in charge used to be on the danish national handball team - do the math! |
