Hey, I've never really done a landscape before, and I've spent about an hour on this one so far. I still need to sort of highlight the trees in the background, finish outlining and highlight the big tree, do the forground, and tinker with the sky and land. The sky and land is really what I need the most help with. I just don't think it looks that good. I think I need to make the horizon line straighter...but what else should I do? Right now I think it looks kinda muddy. Any tips? Thanks.

Here's an update. I'm really starting not to like this so much...I need serious help with the land, and I have no idea how to go about doing the big tree... Any helpful comments would be appreciated! Smile

EDIT - Please ppl! I wanted to give this as a Xmas gift for my grandma, so that means I have like no time. I want to make it better, but I need some help. I'm new to art and don't know what to do. Thanks.

perhaps trying to ad some depth to the forrest.
I've noticed (i think) you used the 'contour' tool for the forest. Try 2 avoid that tool.
Perhaps a snowman, bunny, or wolf on the foreground to add some movement or something

whoa, whoa, slow down. kill the snowflakes, the snowman, the kid on the sled, and that green stuff behind the snowman. the second version was the best so far. Just make it a peaceful landscape.
