Just a painting I have been working on. i want to make it look more realistic, but I am no certain of how to do that. I also wanted to give the water a translucent kind of effect, and maybe have some reefs or something under the water. Give me whatchya got =)

You might want to study perspective.
Look where the horizon is. You wouldn't be able to see the stream from above.
For effects in general try to find photos with the phenomenon.
Then ask yourself how you would paint it.
Then try to paint it. Wink

holy crap, I didn't even see that! Thanks for bringing that up! I can't believe I didn't see that ah jeez! I'll work on it, change the waterfall around a bit and work on the horizon line and cropping too. Thanks a bunch =D

Made a lot of adjustments in this one, I think its a lot better than the first, added some reflections of the rocks too.. but they look bad to me.. uncertain of how to do reflections =/ Also don't know what else I can do to make the background mountain blend in more, it kinda looks like it was just stuck in there and looks out of place, i want to make it so it looks farther away, same goes for the beach. Thanks =)
