LOVE the backlighting on the first too. Great atmosphere. The third one seems like maybe a morning scene, but it's just missing something...like a few strong saturated highlights on the rims of the rocks. Fourth one's great too, but the figure looks like he just sorta jumped forward and stopped abruptly, like in those exaggerated comdey routines ... hard to describe but it looks like he's stopped all motion suddenly, but in an awkward way.
OK, enough of that, bring me more sketches, because these are still most definately bad ass! |

I love the use of colors in your works... It helps to give the painting an ambient and expresses a lot in the painting... I like your work! _________________ Paf!, se acab. |

Thanks for the nice comments! These were all done in Photoshop except for the one of the orange mountain, which is acrylic. Here's another hour.

Ooooh...love that ship at sea. Are those painterly like textures just done with an overlay afterwards or did you do something funky with the brushes?
I like the idea on that last one but the perspective on the vehicle is really goofy. Specifically that top, round sail/fin/halftube isn't matching up with the rest of it. |

ive seen this alot and ive always wondered how its done. in, for example, the picture of the ship, there is a transparent texture throughout the painting that makes it look traditional. How was this achieved? is it some kind of custom setting? Those look amazing, thanks for your help. |

Beautiful stuff Nathaniel.
The forest one reminds me of Last of the Mohicans. |
