Bin doing this pic for over an hour now.
Haven't really lit the mech thing, but... I seem to make it worse in my attempts to do so, so i might just leave it.
And Still holding back on putting the sentinels in (to some low level of detail). (The black column being shot at is going to be composed of sentinels.) Not feeling confident about it.
If you have any suggestions about this or any aspect of the pic, I'd like to know.

Great start! My 2 cents, such as it is, is that when I think "Sentinels", I see blues, blacks, and little red dots.
Can't wait to see it finished. |

thankyou all for the praise.
apb: yeah.. gonna be hard for me tho to introduce the blueblacks in a major way given my current palette.
beginning to screw it up...
perspective issues.. funny values... reaching my limits of knowing to improve and fix... needing you..

some changes. probably leave it now tho.
I think mostly what is wrong with are the major things: the sentinels apparently aren't attacking the mech yet he appears to take damage. He should really be blasting some sentinels clean out of their rather too-tight formation, plus it could be more interesting with more going besides what is going on at the focus. Changing these things would be to draw a different (better) picture. Should have planned more but the 'plan' was a thoughtless 2 minute scrawl. No matter.. lessons have been learnt.

Hmm.. I like the colors, but the composition sucks. It's not intresting, you should rethink it. I'll post it, if I have any ideas.. |

upper right needs something to grab attention, maybe a more detailed sentinel looking at the viewer. Or maybe add some scenes of battle in the background, somethin like that, right now thats the most uninteresting part.
Also if you can get lighting/details on the mech thing thatd be pimp. (little tiny shell casings flying around, hehehe) _________________ Hey Man, Nice Shot
