here are some "pressed for time" drawings, they are around 15/20 mins each.
...too much traffic...

I don't control enough the pen to do values... need practise
swarm: nice ! wish I'd be brave enough to hit oils like you.
varnum: the sketches of the mad duo are spot on.

didnt get to my life-drawing session this week, freezing rain,(sometimes maine sucks)so i drew my brother at work
spooge:your life drawings have a sensitivity that i lack and really admire,i know everyone has said this, but your work really inspires me
malakyte:how does that water soluble oil handle?anything like oil?have you ever used an emulsion(like egg tempera)?i wonder if its similar?

Pretty long poses (although I'm not very good at using that time effectively).
Probably not so long, can't really remember much about it.
hmm I want a drawing jam near me - sounds like a lot of fun. |

watmough: well I find water-mixable oil is harder to push around, its kinda stiff or something. Regular oil is richer, more liquidy. I'm actually going to start using regular oils when my water-mixable ones run out, i like em better, also, you can get more colours in reg oils. Never used egg tempera before. |

I dare posting this in front of you guys because you have been inspirational.
I had 2 small hours to scult a study of a woman, looking back at it, I did a fine orc with a skin disease and flat feet.
The best part for me was how lost I was in the first 2 hours, trying to shape/model that pile of earth. That took over the study of shapes, but a great learning experience it was.
JR: like that first WC of yours. _________________ ---

Here are a couple of 50 min drawings from this morning. They are graphite on paper. I have not spent more then 5 minutes on a life drawing for about 3 years so this was a fun exercise. Everyones work looks great, beat you have some nice stuff going on, Spooge great stuff as usual and Xia you keep getting better.

a little torso-study from a greece sculpture. The rest of the body wasn't there
The ribcage was extremely big on this one or i messed up the proportions

malakyte:i like your last one;and thanks for the reply.have you ever used oil on paper?if you are used to using it on other surfaces its a good change up.and egg tempera handles poorly.at first.kind of like painting with gouache on an oily surface,it adheres poorly to the surface but well to itself,so the more you work it the better it works,to a point.anyway, here re some 2 minute sketches, everyone's stuff is great,as usual.this thread is by far the best on sijun..abcart....damn

lots of really great stuff!
this must be the oldest drawing here - I did this leg study 14 years ago but it's the only one I have readily available.
