it's been a really long time since i've posted anything here. most of my time is being devoted to school, I'm at Gnomon in LA, so most of my time is going towards 3d work. i have one class where we are doing 2d stuff and this is for a final project for that class.
i started with a pencil sketch, scanned it into photoshop and started roughing the shading in to get a sense of light, i think most of that is done and i'm starting to go into some details. i definately plan on adding some atmospheric effects at the end, maybe some fog up near the top to give it some depth and scale. anyway, let me know what you think so far... cheers!

I think you've been looking at Barad D�r just a little bit 
Looks great, though the perspective on the bridge at the bottom seems a tiny bit off.
