The last image I shot outside with a tripod. That is why the colors are different and the image is clearer.

Hope you enjoy

Matthew didn't see your post. Those are just workshop crap. Vilppu is really difficult, i havent got anything much to show from those classes yet. I wish he would let us draw more... so much talk there.

I tried another place to sketch. I won't stop for a while doing nus, glad some people liked my effort. I'm planning to try all sort of mediums when feeling less rusty, watercolors and co. even sculture, wich I'm only dreaming of, so far.
edited: electroganic, mind if i ask if u know any good link about sculture? I have everything to learn, some reading migh help. You know, what to use, what to avoid, earth vs whatever-else-is-used-today, etc..
3mn pose

Here is another Step by step from Monday 11/24. The pose was for 3 hours with a break every 25min. I used oil paint with bristle filberts I am trying to use larger brushes so I think on this one I primarily used 8's. The canvas size was 14X16.

Everyone's work looks great.

...fought with sanguine chalk this time, drawings are much larger now. I'll have a go at sculture before xmas. It's too early to settle in with any tool or "method" for me, as every new tool actually quicks my "certitude" and " confort" out of the process, forcing me to really look at the model.
all, thanks for the inspirational works.
3 mn poses again.

The Seattle Academy of Fine Arts puts on an event called the Drawing Jam each year and it just happened this past Saturday. There are several rooms with models posing for various lengths of time, dancers, musicians, costumed models, and then some. The whole thing goes on for 12 hours. I got there a little late so I was only able to get in about 11 1/2 hours. :)

It's a lot of fun although I wish I had broken out of my comfort zone a little more. Anyway, here's a few from the day:

the woman to the left and also in the center with the guy are part of a group of artists/dancers. They had two parts to their performance. During the fist part they were working with a long elastic cord that they were using to lean back, pulling or being pulled. Great tension and unusual poses. The guy to the right is not one of the dancers.

I need to pull out the paints for the long poses... too much time and I can make a dead drawing like nobody's business!

these two models were working together. I caught them in a long pose room and when they realized they weren't going to be able to do gestures, they left for the gesture room. I followed. The first drawing is from the tail end of the long pose... after that it's all gestures.

I can't believe nobody got hurt. They were carying each other and climbing over one another. Not the kind of thing you get to draw from every day. :)

two more models who came after the insane duo... tough act to follow. Different energy but fun nevertheless

and one of the last models of the day
