I've been asking around and people told me this is the place to be...
I'm a freelance game developper getting close to the completion of my latest game "The Fairy Tale". An RPG game telling the story of the lovers Jake & Marrilona. (See http://www.thefairytale.tk) (I must note that my host threw the forums and the download section down )
People already made good reports on the gameplay and story, but one thing is something I can't help... I SUCK when it comes to drawing. I can draw and with that I've said all about my drawing talents there is to say....
So I'm looking for somebody who can help me out on this point.
I drew many "placeholders" myself so I can get a little idea of how the characters and such would have to look, and to have something to start coding....
If you are interested in helping me, I might throw a version of the game over so you can see how far the production is, one problem it's huge, so be sure you got a lot of space to receive it and a connection that allows you unlimmited access
If you are interested in joining this project, you can reach me at [email protected]
Thank you for listening to my problem... |

Hehe, the old legend that is "programmer art".
There might be people who'll help you out on the Flipcode forums too. The atmosphere over there isn't as friendly as here (imho), but you might get a better response. Make sure to read the rules etc. as it's "shoot first, ask questions later"...

I'm affraid I cannot use a diffrent engine. Game is as good as finished, I'm already working on the final dungeon, and the game has already been 2 years in production with this engine, using another would bring me another 2 years of work, so appologies for for not being able to honor that request... If you are still interested nonetheless, please let me know...

Well, that's good... I can use your help
I can use your help on many sorts of graphics...
Like:
- Character protraits (are shown when a character speaks, with the emotion the character has on that moment)
- Character sprites
- Monsters
- Battle backgrounds
- Map-tiles
If you are interested in drawing any of these, please e-mail me and I'll send the details on how "The Fairy Tale"-engine loads the graphics, and about how the things must globally look like.
If you have any questions related to this product on other nature, please mail me as well |
