SPOOGE DEMON!!! You are a bad man! A very very bad man. You make me want to give up drawing all together and pursue a career as shoe salesman or something! Shame on you! |

BALLISTIC you teaser!! It's like that picture is taken right from my dreams, but without the ear of course, but that painting is just amazing!
SPOOGE DEMON : when you say "think alot, paint less", do you think alot of what youre about to paint, or do you scribble, get an Idea from that scribble and then think alot before "extracting" the idea from the mess?
sometimes I feel that MY best images started out as a "I dunnowhatthehellthisisgonnabe" scribble, and that makes me believe that's not proffessional cause if you don't know how you want a painting to end up like, all you rely on actually is luck??
hope I explained that right...
thanx! |

Capt, I know what you mean. I have days like that. Well...maybe everyday...ahem...anyway, here's an Orc I did fer CA this morning.
Spooge, as usual I love your last two, especially the girl in the woods. In the sniper one, the only crit I have is that if she's a trained marks(person) she should be 'leaning' more into her weapon. A trained soldier always has an agressive posture with a weapon. One of the reasons is of course control, but another is the intimidation of others.
Cheers. |

This one went almost too fast but I felt that if I were gonna work on it more I would only destroy it.

I put the timer on pause when I went to get a Snack Pack, forgot to put it back on when I returned to drawing... don't know how long it took
No reference (evident with the laws of anatomy being broken)

captain f., it calmed me down that you have this problem too. this struggles me over about my whole lifetime, i think- this thin red line between doing what you want (or what you have to) and throwing yourself into cold and dark water, and let art happen perhaps out of sketchy, non pre-planned shit, which fits imho better to the nature of art...
i hope spooge does some comments on this...
uh, perhaps that english is crappy, excuse me... _________________ known as "ChrisNix" elsewhere. |

Not exactly a speedy.. no reference.
Obviously I had no idea what their robes should look like.. or a bamboo forest for that matter. Hell, they might as well be fighting at the bottom of the sea.
HEEAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

fukifno: Yes, it's suppost to be a samurai, but I was making these big shapes with the brush and playing with different layers , just stuff like that and it turned out to be more like a samurai. I should use reference next time though.
thanks for the props. _________________ r. |

hello again!
im sure the anatomy is off a bit, i need more life drawing classes...
gally0: i love how the light source looks, good job
styles: i dig the idea, but the scribbles get in the way. Try maybe a bigger brush size when necessary?
swarm: i think what i like most about this is that i cant tell exactly what it is
matthew: good to see youre experimenting with different styles
keep up the great work ppl. _________________ http://www.whitehallstudios.com
