LC3: nice job, how did u get the brick texture to eb in perspective like that?

Thanks, and I just made a quick brick texture flat, then distorted it into shape. Very Happy

Spoogedemon the advice you've given to people really helps me understand what I'm trying to do.

Okay, so here's another group...on the left is the copy from a photo. On the right is my 'imaginative' version hopefully using some of what I learned by studying the first image. I think I got something from it, but most of all I realized how correct spooge is. The drawing is so important, I kind of like the colors on my version by the perspective and such is wonky. Anyway, more practice Smile

2nd one! :O

Another OpenCanvas session with a friend, done from a tiny photo in my PADI dive manual. You can see a bit of where our drawings overlapped on the left side.

45 minutes

Perhaps it's just the subject matter being a bit more varied, but I think I did much better on this than the last.

Heres my orc.
I still have difficulties choosing the right values like how to use warm or cool colours.

Cicinimo, thank you, I really like yours there. :)

ok things to do, clean up the apartment for a bit, do some dishes and perhaps some more digital stuff later. :)

Edit, hehe I just noticed a wrong lit area on this piece, can anyone see it?

Spooge, how about some more wcs? :)

I am really excited about this weekss draw club, I was in the irc chat earlier and tried at the same time to come up with an idea for the draw club. I made this sketch just now and I am not sure if it works, would you guys wanna see this one more finished for the draw club and with some junkyard in the back?

the wrong lit area was the stick in my earlier picture, I was adding highlight underneath when it should have been in the top of it.

hmm I wonder, should I hit the bed or maybe watch tv? the bed sounds nice. :)

Man, still some awesome paintings you guys.

Tonight we had 3 people and we all did jpop/goth speed paints from some photos I had

45 Minutes, Open Canvas from Ref.

Good thing OC crapped out when it did..I was to the point where I was starting to try to add detail. Bad me!

spooge, sorry this is many many pages back in this thread but... i know you were trans and then illu. how important was your trans/id educatation to you in your work as an illustrator? i am 2nd term illu but i feel like i'm missing out on a whole lot, but other than the viscoms i am not sure what trans/product classes would help me.. i try to look around and ask trans kids a lot of questions but it's hard to tell what's really going on, and if there is anything that could benefit me as an illu guy.

Gday!!!

Ive been checking your works since page ~70 and you guys awe and inspire me every day. Thank thee for that, you are true artists and Ill try to become one too. Heres my effort.

Not really a quickie, but a quick one for me since I havent done but few pics with a compi. Took hours to do but it is a start... Tricky thing it is to get what you want to be the way you want it to be. Uhhh. Tricky thing it is also to generate understandable sentences.
