hey everyone. this is a commissioned illustration i did for the website bandamp.com
i am doing different styles of the same characters that this guy created, this was supposed to be the more stylistic, less realistic version. the guy thought it went too far in that direction, so i am going to have to do another
but i still like it just wanted to see what you all thought, comments and critiques are more than welcome...

I like the color palette and texture.
Somehow the treetop doesn't fit because it doesn't look 3 dimensional.
It might look even cooler if the treetop was bigger ...
and if a part of the trunk was in shadow.
That could add depth to it and make it more realistic IMO.
The hands could be at a more interesting angle ...
but I guess things like that would change the style.
For the new version I'd keep the palette.
The only thing I don't like about it is the bright white background.
Again the textures are great. Especially the grass.

yeah, i think will definately try that with the tree top. and i will try to see what i can do about the white bg too |
