I can't say I'm smart when it comes to commenting, but here we go.
I like the movement in this picture, and the large background. It really shows that this guy is up high in the sky.
I think if you continue like this and finish it, there's really no need to change anything. Looks very promising this way.
I really wish I could paint backgrounds... *sniff* |

naussica is a GIRL... or supposed to be one.
Nausicca is by the same guy who brought you Princess Mononoke, and Sen to chihiro no kamikakushi (spirted away). Studio Ghimli Baybee!
as for C&C... The right side of the glider wing..the side closetest to the bottom of the painting looks to be at a slightly odd angle... The left side clearly has a slight tilt upwards to it to give the craft lift. The right side is missing some of the curvature that we might see at that angle... I advise cutting out a piece of paper in the shape of the glider, then bend the paper how you want to see it, and draw it in that shape from the angle you like.. That might help you get a better angle of the glider. _________________ Sumimasen?!?! Nanpa anyone? |

The only part I don't like is the glider.
Anyway, I like it (I'm a big Miyazaki fan) |

the glider right now is just a shape, i'm going to build into it and give it form, or try anyways.
i've got a long way to go, but this is what i have so far. playing with some color, the reference for the bg, some of you might reconize it's a popular landscape off imagebank.com _________________ ![](http://www.jrtistic.com/oldsite/images/links/jrn.gif) |

CwStone, yeah, the name comes from the odyssey but the story is from Miyazaki's Nausica manga series.
I love the background so far, and the addition of the godwarrior's remains fits very well. On the other hand the glider is pretty stiff imho.
I have some ref that might help you:
If you want I have some more, but I don't want to fill your thread with them (if you want me to quit the ones above, I'll do it gladly). _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa
