This is the "B" cover for GI Joe #24. Seeley penciled it and I'm not sure who inked it. I colored it a few months ago. I'm not thrilled with the colors, but the customer was happy, so I guess that'll have to do this time. Any thoughts?

this link should take you to my sad attempt at a JOE tribute.
My only comments on your peice color wise are about the figure between what i assume is recondo and Scarlet. If I guess right that is 'Jinx" and her suit was all red. Anyway that's all i noticed. otherwise, good work. I really like your highlights and skintones.i especially dig the shadow cast by 'Recondo's' hat. god attention to detail their. _________________ www.jamestmitchell.com |

That is called thread-jacking, and it's rude. |

You know as I really look at this thing, some tracer fire, or ornage-ish explosions in maybe a darker sky, might have spiced it up a bit too. Not to be super critical guy. _________________ www.jamestmitchell.com |

I agree, a darker sky and shells whizzing around would have really added atmosphere to it. _________________ It has been clinically proven that other people's pain IS funny. |

Jamest: Actually, the reference they gave me for Jinx showed her wearing Black. I'm not familiar with the character, so maybe it's something that's changed recently.
As for the idea of shells whizzing around or tracer fire, usually, colorists aren't allowed to do that type of thing. I should've done somuthing tp provide more of a mood, though. As it is, it's very boring. Ah well, that's what I get for thinking I could stay productive for more than 40 hrs straight. _________________ http://www.eraserx.deviantart.com

Your probably right about it being a recent change EraserX. I'm just thinking back to my early 80's memories... 40 hours straight is a long time dude!! You know what they say, it's not that you ever finish a piece the way you want it, it's just after some point you have to walk away... _________________ www.jamestmitchell.com |
