matthew, i did the same last week, spent 7hrs on a pic without saving at all (idiot i know), boom, all trace gone Sad

how come when i set out to do a speedie, it comes out ok, and when i set out to do something that will be worked on further, it turns into this scratchy mess Smile (btw, flush inspired - last piece)

there are some beautiful images being pumped out around here lately, keep it up guys

Hey, I have a little free time.. so I'm posting on consecutive days.

Odd- that little girl freaks me out..*translation* Great Job

sumtinsumtin- i love it.. and I especially love the feet.. (they're just well drawn.. I don't like feet in generall though.. ahem...)

I did this one with layers in Painter.. the first time for me to use many layers in painter. So I decided to go with two backgrounds.

I am terribly annoyed. First my images don't post. Then they post, and now they decided not to post again. Evil or Very Mad
What's the deal with that anyway?

wassup: thanks a lot mate. you have been rocking beyond belief. I'm not participating much lately, but I've been watching this thread almost daily. You've inspired and taught me a lot so far.

oDD: that painting is *exactly* the right atmoshpere for a dream. you nailed it.

wassup > I love the pic. And oDD and Isric.

another battlefield scene.

Simplifying is funny business. I always start simply, roughly blocking things in, but then I try and fix this bit and then that bit, shrinking my brush each time until I find my self scratching with a 2 pixel brush trying to fix some fundamental mistake. I know I'm doing something wrong when i think a small brush will help, because it never does. I have to force myself to keep the fatter brush, and when I do it's far better.

Wassup, kool pic! But tell us what you really think... But was it better than FF?

No, I have not seen many Japanese comics at all. Just the usual Shirow. Tough to come by unless you are looking, which I should do. I still feel Bill S hiding in my shapes the most.

"I send you out for a tuna on rye and a cold Tab and you come back with bean sprouts on turkey with whole wheat bread and a snapple?"

bedtime

NeFF, allpetter, wasssup // thank you guys. :)

spyroteknik, yea its crazy annoying.

wasssup, that one is very good. :)

Now things to do today, re-format the computer, cook dinner, re-format the computer again, drink some Fanta, re-install the windows and cross the hands to hope these errors never will be back.

Quick sketch one of Donatellos sculptures, trying to get cross-hatching down.

see you
Matthew

Spooge, Im amazed by this one, the values are just in place.

I know the contrast is lower on the background , but also there is brigthness involved?, you paainted the background using low contrast from the beginin or did you use the brightness/contrast tool?
Again , a great painting-
