Hey all, just finished coloring this one (cept fpr the blurry flowers.) One thing i'm really not sure about is a good color for the dang buttafly. If anyone has some ideas just post em, I'd appreciate the help. O and this is my first complete painting in photoshop, so any helpful hints are more than welcome Very Happy

The setting is off an English coast, don't let the mutant butterfly throw you off, its not incredibly true to life... and that flower is really found in Africa. haha oh well, enjoy.

For the butterfly, something very bright and powerful. Like a contrast of deep purple and corvette orange/yellow for the wings.

As to the painting, all in all I like the composition. Shading is pretty good. You can get much better detail if you start with a much larger image and shrinkj it when your done. Most of what I paint is upward of 4000 to 9000 pixles accross and tall. Paint at that level then shrink it when your done.

I agree. Vibrant colors, evan making the butterfly the focal point (if that's what you want, which i think would look really cool). Somthing else I noticed, is your little bird formation in the upper right hand corner kinda makes that cloud look like a giant bird, see? Like the farest right one is the eye, and the lower one is the beak... that sorta just stuck out to me, and it took me a while to realize that those were birds.
