I'm looking into Savannah College of Art and Design for next year.
Does anybody on here go there or knows much about it? My art teacher in highschool recommends this school. I'm planning to drive down there sometime this month.. Check it out.
Anybody have some insight?
I alsy may be checking out Chicago Institute of Art and Maybe even New York... I rather stay on the east coast though. _________________ The cure for religion is common sense. |

I went to SCAD for two years back in the early 80s, and the place has come a long long way since then. It's a very good school but private and expensive - especially to out of state residents. Certainly take a drive down there and check it out; plan on spending as much time as you can - talk to professors and ask questions. The drawing and painting, illustration and graphic design programs are pretty solid, and the offer MFAs too.
I'd go there over any of the Art Institute schools anyday, but if I had to do it all over again and money were no object, I'd go to Art Center School of Design in Pasadena, CA.

Whats so special about the Art Center School of Design in Pasadena, CA? I looked it up a bit and it seems very selective but I didnt get the crux of whole institution. What are they all about?
Thanks for the positive info on SCAD. .. -- Savannah is a big party town right? ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ The cure for religion is common sense. |

I am the closest to Savannah I ever hope to be. Its November, but still hot as hell with a crap load of humidity. Its horrible. I am currently in a shitty barracks in the block of thounsand national guard buildings awaiting deployement to Kuwait. This place sucks. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |
