I think that would be Capt. FLUSHgarden that you mean there.
For me, painting is a near impossible task, an ordeal. Good god it's hard. I can't simplify to save my life. I need some of what wassup eats
I couldn't paint it right so i just squiggled in some outlines.

I totally feel your pain Capt. Fred.
Here is another unicorn. I'm doing these sketches to work out ideas for this painting I want to do for my mother for her birthday. She loves unicorns.

Matthew, thanks for posting that. I can see that the original must be nice.
One thing that many don't know about Bierstadt, and it might (should) inspire you, is when he started he was not very good. I remember your first posts on Sijun, and, well, forgive me, but they had a long way to go. I don't think you would dispute that.
I have never seen the work in question in regards to Bierstadt, but from what I read he was just awful and then one day the clouds parted and he "got it." The change was so miraculous that others claimed the work could not be his. Once that was cleared up, he was on his way.
Ogre, I like LIGHT, lot of it. That is why I moved to the tropics. It is a bother, so I work at night. No problem! That picture of my studio in CA is really old. I should update it.
Bell went off, had to figure in typing time, so crappy pic tonight. Back to work.
It's not so much do you like painter, does painter like you?

hehe, If I se a cowboy movie trailer or a new cowboy game I know who's behind it.....
I know it looks crappy in your head but in my eyes it's very livelly and very skilfull work (is it livelly or lifelly?) |

Spooge, didnt know that about Bierstadt, thank you for telling me. :)
its ok spooge and I still think I have a long way to go though with my work and I am never satisfied, but that feels good at the same time, at least for me and I am not sure why though but I guess it gives me something to strife (struggle) for.
Now back to P.S Kroyer and Oscar Bjrk, I borrowed that book today and scanned some of their works to show you. Actually, P.S Kroyer had this drama lighting in his paintings, the kind of light that can be seen in your paintings and that makes the pictures so awesome. Just look at the smoking man beneath.
btw I am glad you liked that Krouthn painting cause I think it is awesome, maan there is such a depth in that painting. :)
P.S. Kroyer, 1851-1909
This is a picture Kroyer made of the Skagen painters gathered around the breakfast table, it was a period when he was doing breakfast paintings and it is also the cover to the book I was looking in and are looking at every lunch break, hehe.
Still though I have a bit problem to read it cause it is Danish and I am not good at Danish even though it is a Northern language.
The guy in dark clothes and glasses was Johan Krouthn and I guess Oscar Bjrk was the guy in the yellow hat and Kroyer himself to the right what the text in the bottom says anyway. It seems like they had this close relationship I guess and was inspired by eachother, the same way we guys are inspired by eachother here in the Speedy, hehe, anyone up for breakfast? :)

I will post some copies I have made in a new post
see you

Ohh hehe and some copies from me made during class yesterday and today, I guess my photo teacher will strangle me soon.
They are made pretty fast and from reference all of them.
Capt.Flush - I believe the word is lively, not 100% sure though but I think it is lively.
XIA, thank you there. :)
tayete, keep going with those sporty ones, very nice.
ok that was the posting for today and I guess I will be back with my single digital paintings tomorrow guys. :)
Later

Mathew - I agree with Spooge - you're work has come quite some distance. In the spirit of Bierstadt, I'll even admit to briefly wondering if you actually did those last baseball pics. Stellar accomplishments, man, keep pedaling forward. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ - Tom Carter

Vyle - friggin' sweet!
Flaptraps - I love the very implied look...and the speed that it seems to have. Real nice.
As for me, make mine tree.
Not a good day for drawing. ![Razz](images/smiles/icon_razz.gif) _________________ -Krista

I just looked at Spooges gallery just now before I was going to hit bed, I got so inspired by one of the pictures where some guys are realing in a big ship. I had to try out to do a big ship with water cause I rarely do water, think I understand a little bit now though how water and stuff reflects.
Goodnight Sijun dudes. :)
Gort, flaptraps, idiran, wow thank you for your kind words guys. :D
