Has anyone seen this show? I was just introduced to it and I think its pure genius! Unfortunatly it was canceled but you can download the episodes here:

Its a real shame that shows been cancelled.. the animation is the best I've seen for a cartoon show ever.. the mix of 3d and 2d is pure genius. You can find lots of other episodes on Morpheus as well.

Maybe the creators should try and bring that show to a different network..

I come across it recently and it's totally brilliant. But I'm not surprised to hear it was cancelled, it seems if I like something then it'll be cancelled within 6 months.

I have 2 friends who worked on the show, Rosearik Rikki Simons and Tavisha Wolfgarth Simons. They both did color design for the show and Rikki was was the voice of GIR. It's all the more tragic because the show wasn't cancelled because of poor ratings. It was cancelled because of politics and control. From the sound of it, the guys at Nick are towering infernos of idiocy.

Some examples of directives they were asked to comply with:

"We don't like Dib. Can you lose him?" Dib, for those who don't know is the foil to the Zim character.

"No more episodes in outerspace. Outerspace is for Jimmy Neutron. We don't want kids getting confused."

"Zim and GIR must appear in every episode. No more episodes centering around Dib or Gaz." Which is a shame because the episode where Gaz stands in line for the new video-game is really good.

always with the politics....i think i saw all the episodes..when it first came on i was quite surprised to see this on nick it was kinda off the wall...man f*ck nickelodeon see if we can influence cartoon network to pick it up....anyone here at the boards work at cartoon network? its much more suited in cartoon network and im sure they will let that show grow....

the artist of Zim is Jhonen Vasquez i like his style of art, ive read somewhere he wanted to do all kinds sick stuff on the show but i knew that those tight asses at nick wont let him.....

Considering the restrictions you guys are telling tales of, it shows how much more talented these guys are in able to make a kick ass show with all this on their backs... I think the show is brilliant, better then anything on CN (save Dexter)... everything just clicks, looks like they had alot of fun making it, and thats what counts

...oh well, it is sad to see a great show like Invader Zim succome to the mass media oligarchy. I mean afterall, there are only 7 corporations that own the US mass media...so what they say goes unfortunatly (the truth goes as well).

...but yeah, Invader Zim is one of the few shows on Nick that i enjoyed watching.

what audio codec do those divx-files use? in properties it says 'unknown'...

i figured that i wouldn't need to install divx 3.11 sinse i had already installed divx 4.x. obviously that audiocodec was not included in 4.x
