The rules of Draw Club:
. Each theme will last exactly one week.
. We're looking for an effort, not a 10 minute sketch.
. You are not limited to the digital media.
. Do not "reserve" your place, post an image only when you have something to post.
. Feedback is encouraged.
. Keep away from interpretations of an adult nature.
. Post as many times as you like.
. Have fun.
Draw Club #27: Halloween
Halloween hits us on the 31st, and even though its influence is (I assume) largely confined within the borders of America, it's still a great topic for bit of humorously-bent scary-art. So you can make it halloween art, or just something scary with a tongue-in-cheek angle.
And I expect to see blatant overuse of orange. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials

Nice work everyone, very nice pumpkins.
I was going through some of my old 80s Spiderman comics and there was a guy called "Jack OLantern" back then, maybe he is still in Spiderman. Anyway, he had a pumpkin head and it would be cool to paint him too, maybe I will make an attempt to draw or paint that character later.
Happy Halloween everyone. :)

I just pop in every three months and throw something random at sijun gallery forum and say: "wow, it's been a while".
Umm, so I'll see you in three months.
(Hmm, should I take the text off? Or leave it like it is?) |

klaivu: you have a great future ahead of you.

I'm not sure this is really worth posting, but I may as well. This is a halloween logo I did for an online community group (warning: cultural reference overload):
And here is the original image that I was taking off. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

Happy Halloween!!! Great stuff so far. Mark Harris: I like yours a lot particular the colors, good mood and movement. spyroteknik: Just creepy, good stuff. Makes me feel like I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.
Well, it's been a long while since I've posted... So here it goes! I plan on making this into a couple of cards and handing em out at work.
Wadyathink?

Sorry, don't have an image to post.. I bought Nightmare Before Christmas.. it has halloween themed cover, does that count, no? I just had to step in and comment Perdador's painting, been enjoying your art for a couple of weeks now but this totally blew me off, it's Spooge awesome if you ask me!! The face is priceless, so determined!
Klaivu that looks great, there may be months between your posts but they're always worth it! now that I think of it I might post even less than you. (btw. I'm off to army in January.. Onttola kutsuu toivottavasti selvin puolella vuodella )
Please don't kill me Suma, I'll try to come up with something.. promise! _________________ www.TimoVihola.com

You guys are really good.
Heres Jack O Lantern and hob-goblin as I was talking about earlier. I made these with Ink and a dip-pen and some brushes and stuff. The ink started to get everywhere and it got a bit messy.
Do you pros has any tips when coloring with ink, should I apply the black ink in the end of the process?
Copy of some 80s style comics, though I made Jack O Lantern a bit differently.

Gosh. I didn't expect people to even notice my pictures.
I'm overwhelmed, but I'm sorry to disappoint those of you who think the second image is drawn.
I made it in 3ds max, by simple use of displacement maps. No biggy really.
Guy-Incognito, no I didn't reference I had made some water for work, and thought that it might be fun to use the technique for an image. _________________ Fear my SKETCH-FU!(tm) style |
