A little tribute to a number of things.
This place got so big so fast i just ran for the hills screaming.

Inspired largely by wassup, spooge and flushie. _________________ It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice - Scooter |

The F-1.02 Hedgehoghunter, pride of the Blargoslavian airforce/supermarket chain. Carries a deadly load of bombs and fantastic offers of low low prices. I can't draw planes. |

ah, well the speed painting thread isn't really the best place for comments really, don't take offense. I'm just being silly. I'm here more for learning than having people pat me on the head to tell the truth, which is why i often play with a lot of different styles and colors.
And by the unspoken code of conduct:
hey stereo nice ship, by the way, a new version of crimsonland came out _________________ It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice - Scooter |

Farin, thanks
Paintangel, less dodging, less contrast, think more about the forms and surfaces and lighting.
EssenmitSosse plastic? Hmm that was not my idea. Guess I failed on that one. I kinda liked it though. As far as your pic goes, same thoughts I would give as paintangel. You have to understand the forms that you are painting and how light works on those forms. You have to understand exactly all the light that exists in the scene. Drawing a monster like that is really difficult, as the forms are exaggerated human forms. So learn from life drawing, then you will be able to abstract and play with the forms better. And you will be able to express them through lighting as well.

maybe plastic is the wrong word...lets say 3dimensional. if you look at the pic you really think this men in the red suit stands before you.
Thx, for the comment, I know I have so much to learn. My Problem is, I often forget to think about form and lightning. |
