Tonight's life drawing class. (I had to scan these A2 sketches on an A4 scanner and re-composit them. They don't look as good as the originals at all, sorry.)

gouache is tough. I've only played around with it a few times...

2nd nude I ever drew Smile

Strangely enough, the first time I drew a nude, it wasn't so much of a shock like a lot of people say...

excuse the cross-post (from speedpaint) but I think this is a more appropriate thread. Short poses 2-10 min, hard to remember. Nice work all, keep up the drawing.

Thanx Deep Smile I very much like the old feeling you have in your life drawings. I get the sense that you've been drawing for many lifetimes Shocked

To this point i've been posting stuff from photos. I'ts supposed to be from a model this thread? I think so. Here's some. Unfortunately i rarely draw from the model and need to do so much more.

Everyone in this thread has such a grasp of figure drawing Exclamation Amazing Shocked

Varnum your timid attempts at guache are quite masterful Exclamation Great work Smile

nUmb,
I've been drawing for quite a while, but never enough. I dont think anyone can ever draw enough. I use both photos and models for study. All the things I post in this thread are from life though. It is difficult and expensive to have models around or to go to life drawing when beautifully composed photos are all over in magazine etc for reference. Use both, but I certainly find a huge difference when drawing from the live model, a challenge all its own. It fills in the gaps in knowledge that come from only working from photos. Indispensible I say.

from life or reference, your work is beautiful.

deep.
