cw stone- I am doing several for halo2, including one that the layout is pretty nice.

starglider- put a back end on that head!

Took this one to the ER, died on life support. Another digital art statistic. Ew look at those ellipsees.

Tinusch, Mikko K -- Wow thank you guys. :D

beat, Mikko K, Xia, zhuzhu -- Really lovely work your latest ones.

bought myself some pastel this week and had to add some fixation on it (hmm maybe called varnish in the states) before I could scan it.

Spooge, I'd love to get some feedback from you, any suggestions how to improve pics like this?

Original watercolor by Ville, this is my humble attempt at overpaint.

Spooge: To get back to you on that ID bit you asked about, I don't think actual drawing will be fully replaced by computer software yet. Of course we have CG class, they try to teach us vector based graphics in Illustrator, pixel graphics in Photoshop and designing in Cobalt, but actual drawing class is still important.

Although, I don't know if it's my university that sucks, or if it's intentional, but they're making us do technical design work on flat tables, not even drawing tables. So I have to do horizontal lines with set squares, then vertical lines by set square..... laid on the previous line I drew! This is insane and stuff sometimes doesn't line up right. Sad How was it at Art Center?

I am loving each and every single course though. It's really filling up my brain with alot of pertinent information.

ding! times up.

essenmitsosse-it's a thousand pixels. close enough?
buki- nike? wha?
nice vyle, looks a little berkey-ish

broken cow, yes I liked it before better, the new one looks like you panicked. As far as the head, hmm can't add much else than the painover I did. The BG has as much texture and activity as the figure, knock it back a little.

If you are getting overwhelmed with the whole thing, maybe get one area working first and then move back to the entire image. Cut it out and put it in a new canvas. But I dont' mean start detailing, paint as loose as you are over the whole thing. If something is not working, detail won't help, don't be afraid to paint it loose, but over and over and over again, you will start to see what is working and what is not. Big stuff not little stuff. That's what is so cool about digital, endless repaint and endless fresh canvas. take advantage of it.

Mikko, I will say the opposite to you. Looks like you copied the shapes pretty accurately, but not accurately enough, there are a lot of landmarks of the major masses of the body that could be brought out with a few crisper edges here and there. A little more detail.

go in peace from Spooges house of confusion.

Snake Grunger, glad to here you like ID. What they are doing is boot camp, as way of getting your attention so that everyone fails and hopefully will listen when the real stuff comes up. Also meant to weed out the non serious. Same thing at ACCD

just a quick sketch, 15 min, cause I am going to the arcade place with my little brother now, have a nice weekend everyone.

a little bit inspired by Spooges sepia toned painting and I wanted to do a similar lighting. hmm think I worked to fast on it but the values are in there somewhere, I think? hmm

Started out as a speedpainting but I ended up 'noodling' it to utter distruction. Based on a bizzare old Disney flick called "The Black Hole".
