I am happy! Well... I would be really happy, except for the fact that I am sooooo sick... I don't get sick very often but when I do, watch out!

Anyhoo, I got accepted to SCAD! I thought I might, but there is nothing quite like having that letter in your hands. Did I make it?

Well I applied for some other schools; Art Center, MICA and I hope to hear back from them soon. Now... All I need to do is figure out how I going to pay for school *scratches head*

Anyhoo, Felt like sharing the good news!

GJ Jucas that will be fun.

I am planning on applying there next year. Any way you would be willing to post any information on your GPA or test scores? And did you submit a portfolio? If you submitted one what did it contain? I can only imagine how good that must feel to get the letter (except for the secondary reaction of "Oh no how in the heck do I pay for this!?!?")

hope you get over your sickness soon!

Congrats. If you don't have the money for school I guess you'll be taking out a college loan

Cool dude!
Currently I am working a daily grind of customer service hell to afford SCAD. Seriously, it's hell.

Althought the other day it was awesome. I got this phone call:

"Hi, this is your enrollment manager. We haven't recieved your matriculation fee yet. I was wondering what your plans were."
"Yeah, I'm working now to make the money to afford SCAD, so you had better roll that back at least a year."
"Ok, I will."
"Thanks".

[five minutes later]

"Hi, this is your enrollment manager. I was looking through your files, and you are eligable for a $7500 scholarship."
"Yep."
"Did you know that?"
"Yep. Thanks for pointing it out though"
"Bye."

HA! You're getting warmer! Now where do I get the other 10 grand a year?

Ughh. My life is a lie.

-xXxPZxXx
phew... that was hard.. typing your alias lol. Anyhoo, you wanted to know my GPA and test scores;
GPA; 3.3
SAT; 1100 or so, can't remember exactly.

I did submit a portfolio and I will be posting some of the work soon. So keep and eye out for that stuff if you want something to compare your work too.

Other than that, I am going to lay down and cough myself to death.

*cough* later *cough* *cough*

Weee! I just got accepted there today, too. But I didn't send them a portfolio, cause if I did they'd be like "ha ha ha yeah right, screw you kid" but still yay! Anyway congrats to you Jucas!

-edit for c-
Yea, the one in Savannah...maybe I'm just lucky? Hey, my acceptance letter is written in crayon...this can't be right...

Aye! all these people getting in and then teasing. I guarantee out of the thousands of people there are many that are curious as to what test scores and GPA's everyone has. I hate to bring it up so much but I know there are more than just me wondering what it takes to get into these schools.

Thanks

You can get accepted as a freshman without a portfolio. However to be considered for scholarships a portfolio must be submitted for review.
A good portfolio can make up for crappy grades.
If you are a transfer student, a portfolio review is required for certain credits to transfer.

GPA: 3.2
SAT 1350
ACT 31
Applied as a transfer student.
Most credits would transfer no prob.
I haven't officially submited my portfolio, but I took it for a review day and they seemed to like it. I got a free t shirt out of it. Eh.
