I have never heard anything of it except for rumors of a release later this year. Could you tell us more about it Philip? What additions have been made to the program.

Here is an email I got from Mark Monciardini, a writer and trainer for Adobe Photoshop.
==================================
Adobe Announces Photoshop CS along with their new CS Software line. Photoshop CS is the newest version of Photoshop. You could call it Photoshop "8", but Adobe has taken on a whole new practical way to naming the software. CS stands for Creative Suite.
New features include:
Improved File Browser
Match Color command
Histogram palette
Shadow/Highlight correction
Text on a path
Integrated digital camera raw file support
Comprehensive 16-bit support
Layer Comps
Macromedia Flash (SWF) file export
Customizable keyboard shortcuts _________________ HonePie.com

Oh WOW, sounds great!
Oh, I am so glad to see that the system requirements are still OK. (G3, G4, G5. I'm golden.) Their requirements for RAM are higher than before (192 MBs, 256 recommended), but since I've got over a gig of RAM I'm golden there too.
Cool! ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Madness takes its toll - please have exact change. |

Customizable shortcuts - finally. But why is something like this a whole new package i don't know. Sounds like it should have been a 25 dollar patch. They do need to make money ofcourse.
I wonder if adobe is now going to slowly integrate one of their flagships into another until photoshop/illustrator/after effects and whatever else they offer is going to become one single suite. _________________ "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity" - Sigmund Freud |

I'm looking forward to a new and improved lens flare filter.

I always thought Adobe's plan was to incorporate tools from their other programs into Photoshop, just enough to be functional but not useful, so that you end up going out and buying an extra 600 bucks worth of software because the pen tool is so fun.
They do sell Office-esque software suites, but the markup is pretty ridiculous. _________________ QED, sort of. |

Philip, what is the url to the forum that Mark used to own. It used to be DBM, but its something like Designer's Lounge or something. I am pretty sure you were posting there when I left. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |

No thanks. That is his commercial website. The forums that used to be associated with DBM left him and discarded his name to form a different website/forum. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |

I can remember when Faust had his own EZboard for a while. And the numerous other boards spawned off it. _________________ http://prettydiff.com/ |

Finally customizable keyboard shortcuts. I did not think that I will still witness this moment.
Now I wonder how long it will take till we get an auto backup function... ![Wink](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

PS7 has this. Window>Documents>Close all (CTRL-SHFT-W)
I'm excited about text on a path. So many times has a customer said 'I like that, but could we have the text going around that widget?' and i'd have to haul Illustrator open for that one thing. Arg. |

Thanks! There is a couple of other goodies there that i didnt see. I wish PS on PC could run in separate window mode like it does on Mac, so i could move the duplicate window to the other screen. Or is there a way to do this? (Aside from stretching the main window over.) _________________ "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity" - Sigmund Freud |
