This is an older piece that I've updated so that it can be printed up to six feet in width.

this is kind of weird to me, the first frame seems to represent all three parts of the title with the man staring at the empty chair. i don't understand why the chair seems to suddenly take flight and the guys leaning back like "Whoa" in the second frame, or i could just be dumb.

I dun think he goes like "Whoa"... I rather think he realizes what is lost and will never be again. Or, more accurately said: WHO is lost. And will never come back. The shrinked size of his body could symbolize smth. like... that a part of him has gone with that special person that was supposed to sit next to him. I guess there are a lot of ways to interpret that picture and they're probably all valid in some kinda way.

Or am I wrong, Mistar Aye-Woo?

Flat... you have articulated it very well... it is about deep felt loss from an obsessive relationship. You nailed the body size differences...

wasssup... I've set up a website just for this work. Its at www.philwms.com. This picture prints at 80 inches wide. They all range from several feet up to 6 or 7 feet in width when printed.

rwerner... thanks for pointing that out... hmmm... you know I just noticed the guy on the right has two sets of eyes... yikes!
